Image Members of the Victorian Farmers Federation Pig Group represent more than 65 per cent of the Victorian pig herd. The aim of the Pig Group is to provide a voice for Victorian pig farmers on political and industry issues affecting the pig industry.

The Pig Group provides pig producers with a voice on state issues such as codes of practice, animal welfare, environmental management, education and training. The Pig Group is also able to have input into national policy development and issues via Australia Pork Limited, the pig industry's national representative body.

Funds provided through the Swine Compensation Fund enables the Pig Group to offer an annual scholarship and to assist with regional pig producer meetings to facilitate exchange of information
A council comprised of six members, who are elected annually, manages the Pig Group. The Pig Group President is appointed annually from among the council members.
