The VFF is a federation made up of seven commodity groups representing farmers in the Dairy, Grains, Livestock, Horticulture, Chicken Meat, Eggs, and Pig industries.
Farmers head up each of these groups and, supported by Melbourne and regional based staff, are a united voice for farmers needs and rights. This power of unity enables the VFF to effectively lobby at all levels of government on a wide range of issues to retain equity for agriculture, rural and regional Victoria. The VFF also provides its members with a broad range of additional benefits and services, including a comprehensive industrial service, computer-based training, industry advice, farm safety workshops and much, much more.
Branches The numerically larger of the commodity groups, Grains, Dairy and Livestock, all have branches that elect delegates to local "District Councils."
Commodity Councils The five other commodities elect representatives directly to their representative councils without any District Councils. From the Central Council level, commodities then elect representatives to the VFF Policy Council, which has a total of 36 members.
Policy Council
President The President is backed up by the Deputy President and the Vice President, with the Deputy being the next in line to the Presidency. |
