Elected in July 2002, the eighth President of the Victorian Farmers Federation was Lockington local, Paul Weller.

A dairy farmer, Paul is a former Vice President of the UDV from 1999-2002 and while in this position was involved in working through issues such as right to farm, rural zoning, land management and native vegetation issues as well as the development of the Health River strategy.

Since being elected, Paul has presided over internal restructure of the VFF in order to reposition the organisation in a more strategically focused manner for the twenty first century.

Paul, the father of two daughters, Cassie and Jessie and was reelected unopposed for a second year in office at the July 2003 VFF Annual Conference.
