Membership of the VFF is about working together to provide better outcomes for farmers. Your membership entitles you to a range of services including lobbying and advocacy, industrial relations and disaster relief. VFF membership is also an acknowledgement of your support for national representation through the National Farmers' Federation (NFF) and Peak Commodity Councils.

Even though farming has its own natural challenges from droughts, bushfires and floods, it is also under constant threat from regulation, legislation and special interest groups. These attacks will not go away by themselves. The only way to effectively counter them is to stand together with a strong, united voice.

While much of the VFF's lobbying work is conducted on a broad scale, there are a number of policy achievements that have cut thousands of dollars from the bottom line of farm businesses directly. Savings on Primary Producer truck registrations of between $190 and $5640 are an example of this.

All VFF Members are also automatically enrolled in the VFF's commercial Member Benefit program Member Advantage which incorporates member benefit agreements with a range of leading businesses as outlined in the Member Advantage section.
