VFF GRAINS GROUP

The VFF Grains Group is an active link between its members and the broader grains industry.

Our membership includes more than 60 per cent of Victorian grain growers, including cereal, legume and seed growers. We provide a democratic and representative voice for growers.We offer our members a number of services that directly benefit their farm businesses and assist them to make the most of the new grain marketing arrangements.

MEET OUR PRESIDENT

Ross Johns is a grains and livestock farmer from Warracknabeal, in Victoria’s Wimmera.  He runs wheat, barley, canola and some pulse crops on his property, along with wool and prime lambs. Ross brings extensive experience to the role of VFF Grains Council President. 

Prior to being elected to the role, he was Vice President of the VFF Grains Council for one year, and has previously held board positions on ABB Grain, GRDC and Western Water.  He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Centre for Rural Studies and Marcus Oldham College. 

As President of the Grains Group, Ross is committed to sustainable growth and development of Australian agriculture.  He is excited to work at the VFF with a progressive team focused on resolving the limiting factors to industry prosperity.
