The Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) is a dynamic and influential organisation committed to supporting farmers and rural communities across Victoria. We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional for this new Project Manager position.
The Victorian Farmers Federation is looking for a qualified Project Manager to join our team. This new position will play a key role in delivering on-farm services, whilst attending public events for an established and renowned Making Our Farms Safety program, which is designed to improve safety for farmers, and their families.
The Farms Safety Project Manager is a key position within the VFF that will assist in the objectives of delivering farm safety for members and the wider agricultural community. The Farms Safety Project Manager will have responsibility for the delivery and administration of the VFF Making our Farms Safer (MOFS) project.
About you:
We are looking for someone who has:
· Experience working within PMO including financials, schedule & resourcing.
· Excellent planning skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including farmers, government agencies, and local councils.
· Demonstrated attention to detail, along with excellent negotiation, organisational and relationship skills.
· You will also have experience in and be comfortable with media marketing, liaising with agencies and advertising placements.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
· Managing the day-to-day management of staff across the project team.
· Delivery of the project in-line with milestones, expectations, and budget.
· Maintaining a strategic approach and efficiently using the resources available and existing networks to help deliver project outcomes and reporting to the Victorian Government.
Requirements:
· A minimum of five year’s demonstrated management experience and in managing staff.
· A key part of this role involves liaising with executives, VFF members, office bearers and external stakeholders and requires the handling of confidential and sensitive information, therefore an ability to maintain confidentiality and trust within the VFF is essential.
· Attention to detail and can work with a range of stakeholders.
· Experience in OHS and/or the agricultural industry would be highly regarded.
· Regular travel throughout Victoria may be required with occasional overnight stays.

The Project Manager will work closely with the Senior Farm Safety Advisor, and the Farm Safety Advisor, in the delivery of the OHS Programs for the Making Our Farms Safer project.
