VFF State Election Candidate Forum Changes

Media Releases » VFF State Election Candidate Forum Changes

Due to the recent rainfall and flooding events in Northern Victoria, the Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) has made changes to its planned 2022 State Election Candidate Forums in Mildura, St Arnaud and Shepparton.

The Mildura event has been rescheduled and will now be held as an online webinar on Monday 7 November from 7PM to 8:15PM. All community members are welcome to tune in and there will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions through the online Q&A function. The webinar link is available on the VFF event portal – www.vff.org.au/events

In light of the flood impacts in the Goulburn Valley, the Shepparton event has been postponed and we are working with Candidates and the community on taking the next appropriate steps.

The Forum scheduled for the seat of Ripon at St Arnaud on Tuesday 25 October has been cancelled. The second scheduled event for Ripon will proceed on Tuesday 3 November at the RACV Goldfields Resort in Creswick from 7PM.

Scheduled events for the seats of Polwarth, Bass, Euroa and Mansfield are proceeding as planned, however we will continue to monitor the emergency situation across the State to ensure the safety of all community members.

If you have been affected by floods and require advice, assistance or urgent animal welfare needs, please call the VicEmergency Hotline on 1800 226 226 or visit www.agriculture.vic.gov.au/
