Please join us in welcoming new representatives Brett, Peter, Scott, Ryan and Bernie to the VFF Board.

The Board has hit the ground running and appointed directors to the key governance and strategy, and risk, audit and finance committees to accelerate the development of our strategic direction and implement initiatives focused on business improvement. These committees are critical to driving progress and delivering results for farmers, agricultural industries and regional Victorian communities.

The organisation remains steadfast on delivering a clear, achievable and united strategic direction that reflects the needs of our members. A key priority is fostering a culture that is inclusive, respectful, and representative of the diversity within our farming community. A reminder that as a VFF member, you are invited to attend our upcoming VFF Annual General Meeting to be held in Melbourne on Wednesday 19 February 2025. It is a fantastic opportunity to directly engage and have your say on the future direction of the VFF. More details are available on the VFF website.

A major area of immediate focus is aimed at increasing membership through grassroots engagement with farmers. These initiatives will focus on connecting directly with farmers to demonstrate the value of membership and the importance of collective advocacy. Not only will the organisation strive to attract new members, but continue to service the needs and interests of existing members.

Our collective voice is stronger in numbers and helps us effectively advocate on behalf of the entire Victorian rural and regional community. A reminder that we can only protect your interests if you are a VFF member, so we encourage you to make sure your membership is up to date and you’re a fully financial member. Also make certain you chat with friends and neighbours about the difference VFF can make to your business, family and community.

The VFF Board thanks you for your ongoing support and looks forward to updating you regularly on the progress made throughout 2025.

On a final note, the VFF Board would like to extend a huge thank you to the emergency services who helped keep our communities safe and the farmers that took measures to prepare their farms during the recent bushfires. Many of our members spent their Christmas on the fireground and we thank them for their effort and hope you get a break with family soon.

Thank you,

VFF Board of Directors.
