We’re looking for a Digital Campaign Specialist who knows how to turn content into impact. You’ll play a key role in our online advocacy presence and driving measurable outcomes across social and digital channels. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end responsibility across content and paid social.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and creating organic content across Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Planning, scheduling and publishing social content aligned to advocacy, campaigns, events and launches
- Capturing on-site (on farm) photo and video content
- Editing short-form video
- Collecting, organising and repurposing UGC
- Growing the VFF’s membership and supporter base
- Setting up, managing and optimising paid social campaigns
- Identifying emerging trends and integrating innovative approaches into strategies
- Managing (small) budgets, pacing and performance
- Tracking results, analysing performance and optimising to drive ROI
- Supporting website banners, brand pages, partner promotions and eDM creation
About the Role
Make a real impact by amplifying the VFF’s digital voice and connecting communities in a State Election year.
We are seeking a Digital Campaign Specialist to join the VFF’s Membership and Marketing team. In this role, you will co-create and lead the VFF’s social media strategy and drive innovative approaches to grow and strengthen our digital channels. We’re looking for a politically sharp, technically skilled digital campaigner who understands agriculture and regional issues and knows how to plan and execute online advocacy campaigns with reach and impact. You will play a pivotal role in facilitating two-way digital engagement. By delivering engaging, timely and relevant content, you will identify and create opportunities drive VFF advocacy campaigns; and deepen engagement with VFF members, staff and volunteers, ensuring their stories are shared widely and meaningfully across our digital platforms.
About You
This role suits someone with practical experience across social and paid execution who is comfortable working independently and owning outcomes. You’ll bring expert knowledge of full-funnel social best practices, with the ability to create campaigns that drive engagement, ROAS and creative effectiveness. You’ll possess analytical skills and have experience setting up and using reporting dashboards, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and GA4.
You are organised, proactive, ideas-driven and confident creating and editing short-form content, with a strong understanding of performance metrics and ROI. You are a skilled digital communications professional with tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) and a strong track record in managing social media and online engagement channels. You can advise and influence senior leaders, develop strategies to shape positive public sentiment and create engaging digital content including video, graphics, and written stories.
With a keen understanding of current and emerging communications technologies, you bring creativity, strategic thinking, attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills, building strong relationships across teams, stakeholders and the wider community to help the VFF connect with Victorians effectively. Able to work in a hybrid capacity with three days in the CBD office.
Skills and Experience
- 2–4 years’ experience in social media, paid social or digital marketing
- A basic understanding of interest in agriculture and rural issues
- Political awareness, ideally gained through experience in an advocacy organisation, politics or the media
- Proven experience running paid social campaigns with budget responsibility
- Strong understanding of performance metrics and ROI
- Confident creating and editing short-form content
- Experience managing influencer seeding and creator outreach
- Highly organised and proactive
- Comfortable working independently
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to regional and rural sites as required, with some overnight stays required
