of Australia’s total gross value of agriculture

42%

of Australia’s sheep and lamb meat

62%

of Australia’s milk

32%

of Australia’s horticultural products

We Have A Proud History

The Victorian Farmers Federation is an active, powerful lobby group dedicated to the interests of farmers and making a difference to communities. With a strong record of successful political advocacy and leadership, the VFF has generated substantial benefits for farmers and regional Victorians since its formation in 1979.

Even though farming has its own natural challenges from droughts, bushfires and floods, our members have collectively earned the VFF a reputation as a respected leader, contributor and advocate.

We Are A Strong Team

The VFF consists of seven Commodity Groups – Dairy (UDV), Livestock, Grains, Horticulture (incorporating Flowers Victoria), Chicken Meat, Eggs and Pigs.

VFF members lead each of these groups and, with the support of Melbourne and regional based staff, provide the power to effectively influence all levels of government on the wide range of issues that impact on modern farming.

Our vision is to create an environment for farmers that enables profitable, safe and sustainable production, within a community that values and respects the farm sector.

We Value Our Members

The VFF has approximately 20 branches across the state. Our members are the lifeblood of the organisation. Branches enable members to:
