There are a number of Victorian drought support services currently on offer to help farmers battling through drought conditions:
- BlazeAid- Offering to cover fodder transport costs
- RuralAid- Offering fodder donations and deliveries
- Need4Feed– Offering fodder donations and deliveries
- Agriculture Victoria– Comprehensive drought information/ infrastructure grants etc
- Agriculture Victoria- Streamlined fodder permits
- Agriculture Victoria- Streamlined kangaroo management permits
- National Heavy Vehicle Regulator- Victoria Emergency Drought Network Pre-Approved Permit-Based Scheme (South West Victoria)
- National Centre for Farmer Health- Community Grants Program (Look Over the Farm Gate) and mental health support
- Regional Investment Corp (RIC)- Loans etc
- VFF Disaster Relief Fund- The VFF Disaster Relief Fund assists farmers impacted by extreme events such as bushfires/ floods and drought. Open for donations at the moment.
- VFF MOFS– Mental health guidebook
- Fed Govt- Drought, disaster and rural support
- ATO– Drought support program
- Royal Flying Doctor Service– Flying Doctor Wellbeing
- Rural Financial Counselling– A Rural Financial Counsellor can visit farmers at their place of business and can assist with business planning, creditor negotiation, cash flow management, accessing government and industry support programs and referrals to other professional services.
