About Dr Will Maginness

Will grew up in Melbourne and had an obsession with football that took him to Perth with the West Coast Eagles! However, with injuries curtailing his football career, he decided to pursue his lifelong dream of being a veterinarian, studying at Murdoch University in WA.

Now, Will is a mixed animal practitioner, passionate about animal welfare and how respect for the animal is paramount to producing high quality nutritious food for humans. He is also passionate about forming relationships and educating farmers on preventative diseases and improving their animals overall health, in turn reducing the number of veterinary emergency visits.

Dr Will runs a small hobby farm of his own (@activeacresfarm) so he understands the difficulties and challenges farmers face.

About Jack Briscoe (Futura Kelpies)

Originally from Melbourne, has been in Ag for over 30 years. He is a Kelpie and Border Collie working dogs breeder for over 20 years, that also exports overseas. Jack has been providing stock handling demonstrations for the same amount of time.

Jack has his own farm with his wife and two daughters but he started off showing Hereford Cattle and working on a large sheep station. He then started his own livestock contracting business, travelling mainly around Victoria, South Australia and southern NSW.

He is a very experienced livestock handler and as some of you may have seen from previous Stock Sense events, his presentations are always engaging and informative!

Food will be provided so registration is essential!
