The community spirit is well and truly alive on the Bass Coast.
Last weekend a group of volunteers, including some VFF members and representatives were busily collecting donations of hay and non-perishables for drought-stricken farmers.
What started small ended up in with more than 100 bales of hay, massive amounts of food (including 600 bags of pasta) and more than $25,000 in donations coming from the community!
A huge effort from everyone and a massive well done to everyone involved!
Are you wondering what you can do to help those doing it tough?
You can make a tax-deductible donation to the VFF’s Disaster Relief Fund.
The Fund assists farmers impacted by extreme events such as bushfires, floods and the current drought.
