VFF Policy Position: The VFF maintains a clear and consistent policy that the Western Renewables
Link must not proceed in its current form. Transmission planning must be strategic, coordinated, and respectful of agricultural land and rural communities. Forced acquisition, inadequate compensation, and poor consultation are incompatible with a fair and just energy transition. Agriculture must be recognized as a hard constraint in transmission planning, with proper protection for Victoria’s productive food and fibre regions.
